And It Begins!

Five months later, I’ve finally begun uploading photos from Antarctica onto Flickr.

So far, I’ve gotten through day 0 (our arrival in Punta Arenas, Chile) up to the start of day 1 (our landing on King George Island in Antarctica). The goal is to post enough photos each month to hit the Flickr 300MB upload cap :)

While my Antarctica photo log hasn’t been updated, things will move along once I’ve posted a good number of photos on Flickr.

Something Round and Round

I know, I’m totally cheating with these weekly photo challenges – I swear I’ll actually type up a real post sometime soon.

This week’s challenge: Round

British refuge hut at Dorian Bay in Antarctica
Inside a maintained British hut in Dorian Bay that was used intermittently between 1977 and 1993. There’s also an Argentine building about 100 yards away – apparently this is the only place where a British and Argentine hut coexist so closely. However, the British have a dartboard on the wall closest to the Argentine hut :)
