Tis the season! If your inbox is like mine, you’ll notice that Black Friday sales are already in full swing. It’s always tough to keep track of the flurry of sales, so I hope you find this curated list helpful. I’ll continue to update over the week as best I can with favorite brands and individual items across multiple categories, with a heavy emphasis on sustainable or ethical brands.
To help with navigation, I’ll be using the following sections:
Last updated: Nov 25 at 9AM PST
But first … don’t forget to check Rakuten for increased cash back offers. Many retailers have 12 – 15% cash back, which is much higher than the rest of the year. Some examples include Saks (16%), Dyson (12%), and Farmrio (12%). If you’re new to Rakuten, you can use my referral link to get an extra $40 cash back on your first purchase (disclosure: I will also receive $40 as well)!
Naadam: 40% off with code BLACKFRIDAY40. Sadly, it excludes their $75 cashmere crew (reviewed here), but does cover many of their premium cashmere pieces like this Super Luxe Mockneck sweater and Balloon Sleeve Cardigan.
MATE the Label: 30% off sitewide, no code needed. Their fleece cropped sweatshirt and sweatpants (reviewed here) continue to be my favorite. They’ve since released a wide leg sweatpant that looks equally sleek and cozy.
Elizabeth Suzann: 30% off climate beneficial wool with code GETCOZY. Elizabeth has extended her wool line from classic ES pieces like the Clyde Jacket to new styles like this raglan sweater. This is a great deal to get domestically produced, quality pieces that are typically made in small quantities.
Taylor Stitch: 30% off sitewide. San Francisco-based purveyor of men’s apparel, reviewed recently here. Lots of great gift options, ranging from button-down shirts, to heavy duty t-shirts, to outerwear.
Everlane: 30 – 50%+ off select items. The Everlane sale includes many of my personal favorites – like the turtleneck version of my oversized alpaca sweater, these straight leg jeans, and sleek backpack (fits a 16″ Macbook!).
Wildfang: 40% off sitewide, incl. sale. Portland based clothing brand focused on inclusive sizing and gender neutral pieces. This velvet version is so fun, and these corduroy overalls are the perfect shade of wine.
Cuyana: 15% off select gift-worthy styles. I have this laptop sleeve which fits my 16″ Macbook perfectly. I’ve been eyeing this cool funnel-neck sweatshirt for over a year, and love the elevated look of this zip-up fleece with the gold zipper.
Farm Rio: 50% off sitewide with code SUPER50 (incl sale items). I am a neutral girlie through and through, but love a good pop of pattern and color every now and then. This floral puffer is gorgeous, and while I don’t have anywhere to wear their dresses, I sure love browsing them. Pair with 12% cash back on Rakuten.
OZMA California: 20% off sitewide with code BLACKFRIDAY20. I personally have not tried their items, but their sweaters are popular in the community, and I’m highly intrigued by their raw silk jersey pieces.
Accessories & Shoes
Nisolo: 30% off with code GIFTS30. Ethically made through 100% living wages. I love their leather boots (especially the Dari, reviewed here), and recently added new pieces like these comfy looking flatform sandals and eco-knit sneakers.
Lo & Sons: Up to 70% off select items. A long-time family-owned brand favorite of mine, I still use The Pearl crossbody as my go-to travel bag. More recently, I’ve been eyeing their belt bags and the latest, a mini version of their classic OG bag.
24S: 25% off orders $250+ with code BLACKFRIDAY25. One of my favorite online department retailers, they stock a wide variety of contemporary and luxury brands. Not all brands are included in the sale, but many are – like Coach, including their Tabby shoulder bag and half moon Luna bag. Plus an additional 3% cash back through Rakuten.
Bombas: 20% off with code BIGSALE20. Socks make great stocking stuffers and gifts – I love their merino wool quarter socks, and my mom is a fan of their grippy wool socks (I’m buying her another pair this year!).
Mejuri: 20% off orders $150+. These 14K line earrings are my dailies, along with this simple gold band that is Boucheron-esque. And these 14K small hoop earrings give off a double piercing look without the actual commitment of a second piercing.
Home & Decor
Blinds.com: Up to 50% + 5% off sitewide (aka 52.5% off) for custom blinds and shades. I’ve been needing to cover one more window in our place, and have been waiting for this sale! I’ve reviewed their woven wooden shades here and will be purchasing a similar set.
Our Place: Select items on sale for Black Friday. We still use our Always Pan (35% off, reviewed here) pretty frequently, for dishes ranging from a quick fried egg to a kimchi stew for two. And the Ovenware set (25% off) has been great for cooking and serving large family meals.
Ruggable: 20-25% off sitewide with code BF22AFF. I’ve reviewed several of their rugs here, which are still in use 2+ years later. If you’re looking for something more colorful, I really like their latest designs with Iris Apfel!
Dr. Jart: 30% off sitewide + free shipping. Their holiday kits are an amazing deal, especially when paired with the discount. I love their Cicapair SPF30, which reduces redness (I use it in lieu of any type of foundation). This kit includes full-sized product of that, plus the night mask and Ceramidin, both of which are winter staples for my dry (yet oily) skin! This 10-pack of face masks could easily be split up into stocking stuffers or gifts for friends.
Glossier: 20 – 30% off sitewide. I don’t wear a ton of makeup, so Glossier’s minimalist approach is perfect for me. Their Wowder is my go-to when I need a little more coverage, and I couldn’t resist their Swiss Miss lip balm. The holiday sets are great options for gifting! Plus 2.5% cash back on Rakuten.
Blackbird Fabrics: 25% off sitewide with code BLACKFRIDAY25. Some favorites include their Linen Viscose Noil (great for substantial, yet flowy, tops), Wide Rib Knit (note that this has slightly less stretch!), and Crushed Stretch Velvet (so fun for holiday outfits).
SJMade: Not truly a sale, but still very much worth mentioning! If you’re local to the San Francisco Bay Area, there is a large holiday fair in San Jose featuring 400+ artists and crafters on Friday 11/25 and Saturday 11/26.
P.S. If you’re looking for a gift guide, I’ll be sharing a few shortly. In the meantime, check out my Etsy gift guide from last year!
