Everlane Modern Utility Collection Try-On Review

Everlane Modern Utility Collection Review

I’ve had this quick little review sitting in my drafts for a few weeks and am finally posting it in time for Everlane’s Memorial Day Weekend sale. Earlier in the spring, Everlane launched their Modern Utility collection, featuring a mix of structured and somewhat-oversized silhouettes. Many of these styles on now currently on sale!

Supima Micro Rib Racerback Tank

This first piece is not technically part of the Utility collection, but is a staple basic. With the warmer weather approaching, I run through my tank tops pretty quickly. I was missing a grey one, and decided to give this one a go. I find that most racerbacks are also low-cut in the front, and really like that this one has a higher neckline.

Painter Jean in Bone

I really liked the contrast panels on this style, which is similar to the patchwork 90’s Cheeky Jeans I love so much (reviewed here). I ordered these in my usual size of 26 – they generally fit, but the waist was a touch loose. Ultimately, I think this looks style may look better on taller folks, as the panels were a little too overwhelming on my frame.

Organic Herringbone Pant

The subtle herringbone pattern on the material gives these a nice depth. My size was sold out so I went one size larger with a 4. Unfortunately (or fortunately?) these fit true to size, so this particular pair was actually a little too big for me. I do think the silhouette is flattering, moreso than the Painter Jean. The material is a bit thick for summer, but would make a perfect fall / winter staple.

Utility Barrel Pant

I figured I’d try out the Utility Barrel Pant while I was at it, and really liked the deep burgundy brown of the Rosewood color. This style has been out for some time, with updated releases in various colors and materials. While I love the silhouette on the website models (and other bloggers I’ve seen), I didn’t quite love them on me as they felt a little too oversized.

Organic Straight Leg Pant

Last, but certainly not least – I decided to try the new and improved version of Everlane’s straight leg pant. These were instantly a favorite, with the waist cinching in yet plenty of room in the hip and rear areas. While these look short on the models, I found the length perfect on my 5’4” frame. The material is comfortable with a little stretch, but maintains its shape for multiple wears. I recently brought these on a 10-day trip to Europe, and wore them every other day with no issues!
