Everlane’s latest iteration of their Perform Leggings (original style reviewed here) may be my favorite yet! These have a brushed feeling that is very similar to Lululemon’s uber popular Align leggings, but at 70% of the price.
Material & Feel
Like the original version, the Perform 24/7 is made from recycled materials – specifically, 69% recycled nylon and 31% elastane. The fabric itself feels very soft on both the exterior and interior.
Despite the softness, there is still a surprising amount of structure and hold, especially when compared to the Align legging. These strike a nice balance between loungewear and low-impact activewear – I’d feel comfortable wearing these for pilates or spin.
I received these in Burnt Sugar, a light taupe, though I love the deeper Mocha too. A word of caution on the lighter colors: sweat will show through. I don’t plan to wear these for high cardio activities, so that doesn’t bother me as much.
Fit
I’m wearing my usual size here, a size Small, which I feel is true to size. The 28” Regular inseam is a tad too long for me – if you’re shorter than 5’6”, I’d recommend the 25” Ankle length.
Squat Test
Very important! These passed the squat test with a neutral, nude pair of seamless underwear.
Overall, I’m quite pleased with these. I’ll continue to wear them for a variety of activities, and will update this post accordingly on any wear & tear. My original Performs have held up well, so I have high hopes for these to do the same.
