Confession: I never really understood the “no white after Labor Day” rule – I love the look of cozy white and ivory pieces especially in winter. Currently, I have three different white sweaters that I rotate through almost once every week. And I recently added two pieces to that rotation: a pair of white Everlane skinny jeans and oatmeal ReNew fleece sweatshirt. Despite the efforts of coworkers, I have not yet jumped on the sweatsuit train, though I’m close with this sweatshirt.

I actually tried this on in-store about a year ago – I really liked it then, but wasn’t sure if I would wear it enough. Little did I know we’d be WFH for over a year, so what was “not quite my style” then is definitely my style now haha. I opted for the smaller XS size for a slightly cropped fit. Per website reviews, some people also size up to get a more oversized look.
The ReNew fleece is a thicker, more structured fleece material that holds its shape. While I also liked the oversized sweatshirt look a la Alyssa Lenore, I don’t think it would drape as well on my straight frame compared to others who did size up.
Overall, I really like having this in rotation – it’s most definitely a sweatshirt, but doesn’t look too terribly casual if paired with a simple necklace or the like for Zoom calls. If you are looking for a super soft fleece, this is not for you – for that, I would stick with Alternative Apparel’s eco fleece. But if you want something structured, warm and cozy at the same time, I recommend the ReNew fleece.
I already reviewed a black pair of these jeans almost a year ago, and they are easily one of my most well-worn pieces. If you recall from my 2020 wrap-up post, I originally purchased a different brand of white jeans from Poshmark, but sadly they did not work out.
I should have just gone for these in the first place, since I knew the style and fit work for me. Not much to add to my original review – I got these in a size 26 ankle length, which is perfect for my 5’4” self. One of the things I appreciate most about Everlane’s jeans is that they come in different lengths (ankle, regular, tall) and in curvy styles as well.
In winter, these pair very nicely with a simple sweater and my camel Curated wool coat. And if I really want to feel like a yeti, I can wear them with my teddy coat. Suffice to say, I’m very much embracing the all-white/beige look this winter season!
